Hobie Iselin, Stephen Ross, and Bob Walker
In 1985 Hobie Iselin and Bob Walker combined their many years of construction and remodeling experience to form Construct Associates, Inc. a new kind of construction company. Stephen D. Ross, who worked as a project manager from 1988 until 2006, is now a co-owner of Construct.
The concept was that while each of the owners would design and manage his own projects, each could also draw from the shared resources that a larger company would provide. Construct maintains a skilled, year-round work force and has the flexibility to take on larger, more complex, and often-unusual projects.
Our professional office staff manages state-of-the-art accounting and estimating systems. Each partner is involved in the day-to-day management of his projects, and is responsible for all phases of a project from initial client contact to total client satisfaction.
Construct is known throughout the Pioneer Valley for its design/build accomplishments in residential and commercial building, specializing in renovating, restoring and remodeling older buildings. Construct is one of Northampton's premier remodeling contractors. At the same time our portfolio is representative of a very broad range of design and construction capabilities, from antique styles to ultra-modern including the design and construction of new homes of every conceivable style. Over our 25 years in business, we have won many local, regional and state awards for design excellence. In addition to our in-house computer aided design capabilities, we also work with many local designers and architects. These design professionals understand that combining their experience with that of an experienced builder can often get a project under way more quickly, with better budgets and realistic timelines. Construct is always looking for new ways in which to streamline and facilitate the design process.
The Construct craftspeople and the subcontractors with whom we collaborate understand and strive to meet our clients’ high expectations. Our suppliers understand that we require the best materials, and the combined buying power that the Construct partnership represents allows us to pass along significant material discounts to our clients.
