
Experienced Field Carpenters (Sign on bonus $1000) and Lead Carpenters (Sign on bonus $2000), full time, for long-term employment. Full or Part time Position
Prepare drawings for new projects. Complete structural designing. This shall include site measurements, design edit/changes, final design, several generations of drawings and meetings with clients. The drawings may include foundations plans, floor plans, door and window schedules, elevations and detailed section drawings. The partners assume this will be done in CAD. Process information about jobs as soon as possible after meeting with clients. Prepare specifications for projects using CAD, and should include all relevant information. These may also go through several generations. Coordinate special materials orders (i.e. kitchen and windows, etc.).
Print out plans as the design work is completed. I.E. as you complete a day’s work on plans print the plan out for the partners review. All plans need to be printed well in advance of a client meeting.
- Prepare kitchen. bath and minor structural architectural designs as well as layouts for custom in house built cabinets.
- Product specifications – search product specifications for design as well as lead carpenters use.
- Job site consultations with lead carpenters as needed.
- Maintain an organized file that will include a complete set of plans, specifications, estimating documents, engineer’s reports (if any), and job communications (memos, faxes etc.)
